At the bottom of rue Espariat is the Fontaine des Augustins. The Fontaine des Augustins was erected in the 17th century by the Pénitents Blancs brotherhood in honor of Saint Augustin. At the time, this fountain was not only a place of contemplation, but also a vital source of drinking water for our fellow citizens.
